When we eat out in the United States, the price on the menu tells us the price of the food before tax and before tip (if there is a waiter or waitress.) You need to be able to use estimation to decide what is within your price range based on how much money you have in your wallet. Since we usually don't use a calculator when we eat out, we'll look at estimation strategies for calculating the total money that includes tax and tip.
