Math is all about finding shortcuts and patterns. One great shortcut is multiplication as a way to find a shortcut for repeated addition. The opposite of multiplication is division, where we split something into equal parts. Here we look at some notation, or ways of writing multiplication and division with symbols, as well as review some special cases that are undefined or involve a multiplicative identity.
