Often when we do word problems in math we have decimals to work with, which can make the problem more challenging. We can get rid of all of the decimals by multiplying all of the terms by 100. If done correctly, you will not have changed the value of any part of the equation, but will have only integers to work with. Just be sure to multiply ALL terms!
