Formulas are mathematical relationships between variables that relate to the real world. There are multiple instances in math and science where we use formulas, some of which are discussed here. It is important that we practice isolating one of the variables, which is called solving a literal equation for a certain variable. We would "undo" what is being done to the variable using the same solving techniques that you would use for solving an equation with numbers.
