We can solve for a variable in any kind of equation, (here we look at common formulas from Geometry) by undoing what's being done to the variable. Use opposite operations to isolate the variable. Your work will have essentially all variables in it- and that's OK! The important thing is that we're looking at the relationship between the variables.
