If you roll one die, there are 6 faces, so the denominators of your fractions will be 6. If you roll two dice, however, you are having two events happen, so you'll be multiplying the two fractions and getting a denominator of 36. If you are looking for a sum of two dice being rolled, consider making a chart that covers all sums as an organizational strategy.
