As always, to solve an equation for a variable, we want to "undo" what's being done to the variable mathematically. If there is a fraction in front of a variable, which means the fraction multiplied by that variable, we will need to solve by dividing by a fraction. Dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying by the reciprocal.
