We can solve percents using the proportion "is/of = percent /100" because a percent is a ratio out of 100. Here, we practice problems of the type "5 is 80% of what number," where the OF is the unknown. Put a variable in the bottom of the first fraction and fill in the other values. Solve for the variable by cross multiplying.
