Although "filling in the blanks" sometimes feels elementary, it is a hugely important skill with exponents as you move toward being ready to study logarithmic functions. It is a skill that is entirely based on your fluency with the rules of exponents. Remember that to move back and forth between fractions and integers using exponents, the exponents will be negative.
