When you are solving a system of equations involving not only lines, it is useful to imagine what your solution set might look like. Here we look at a parabola and a line and consider all of the possible types of solutions we might come across- no solution, one solution, or two solutions. We use substitution to solve algebraically, and then make a sketch to check that our 2 solution points are reasonable.
