To find the tenth term, or more generally, the nth term, of a geometric sequence, we want to write the explicit formula that describes what we are given. First, we find the ratio by looking at what each term is multiplied by to get to the next term. You'll also need the first number in the pattern. From there, the nth term is found by raising r to the "n minus one" exponent, and then multiplying that result by the first term in the list.
