Any real life situation where there is a constant difference between terms, called d, can be modeled using an arithmetic sequence, or number pattern. We can use such a number pattern to find out how many seats would be in the n'th row (in this case, 20th row). Use the explicit formula for an arithmetic sequence that is based on how many seats are in the first row and how many are added in each subsequent row.
