Finding unknown terms in a number sequences is essentially the same as finding a mean. For an arithmetic sequence, you could find unknown terms if you knew the d, or difference value. To find d, start by writing an equation starting from your first known term, plus some number of d's equals your second known term. Once you have solved for d, you can find any term from the explicit formula.
