You can use linear programming to maximize or minimize an objective function. Write the constraints in terms of two variables, and graph the linear inequalities. Find all of the points of intersection, called the vertices of the feasible region, and shade appropriately. The maximum or minimum of an objective function will always occur at one of the vertices of the feasible region.
