As with any system of equations, there are a variety of solving methods for a system of conics: substitution, elimination, graphing are most common. Here we use substitution to solve a system with a circle and a parabola. Be extremely careful with + - square roots in order to keep all solutions. It is always helpful to draw a sketch to consider how many solutions you might expect. We also look at how you could use a grapher to check your solutions- you need to re-write each conic as a function first.
