Most graphing technologies can only graph functions, meaning they must pass the vertical line test. Of course, conics aren't necessarily functions. In order to graph them on a graphing calculator, we must split each equation into two parts and graph them simultaneously. Here we look at graphing a parabola and an ellipse on a TI graphing calculator.
