Being reflective in an essay is showing the ability to be introspective about your experiences. It shows that you think about your experiences and that you’re able to learn from them. They don’t always have to be profound. They can be things as simple as a conversation or a news article that you read. However, it’s important that you’re able to clearly show your thought process and how you arrived to an end result. Doing so will help to show admissions officers how mature you are and that you’re capable of deeply feeling things and thinking about them.
