There are many factors that college admissions officers have to consider when reviewing college applications. Some of them are obvious, like your grades and test scores, but some of them aren’t. Extracurricular activities and academic interests are highly valued on applications. Admissions officers like to know that you’re not only going to excel academically at the university, but that you’re also going to make an impact on campus. Your letters of recommendation are also really important because they demonstrate what your counselors, teachers, and others think about your personality and work ethic. Lastly, don’t forget that your college essay is what brings everything to life so make sure that you invest a proper amount of time into telling the compelling story of who you are and everything that you’ve accomplished so far.
