There are many important things that you should consider before you start applying to colleges. For example, do you want to attend a college near home or would you prefer to move further away? Would you like to go to a big college or a small one? Cost is also an important aspect to consider. What you see on the website may not be what you end up paying, especially if you qualify for scholarships and financial aid, but it will help to give you an idea of what it will cost in relation to other schools. Academics also play an important role. Some colleges may not offer the exact major that you’re looking for. It’s best to learn about this before you apply. Lastly, listen to your gut feeling. If there’s something about a college that’s rubbing you the wrong way, perhaps it’s not the right college to apply to. Once you find out what's important to you, do the research to find out which college is best for you.
