In the About You section of the UC Application, you’ll be entering a lot of personal and important information, not only about yourself, but also about your family. It might be a good idea to complete this section when your parents are available so that they can answer any questions that you’re unsure about. Some of the questions aren’t mandatory, but it’s recommended that you answer as many questions as possible because it really helps admissions officers get a picture of who you are and where you come from. Some of the topics covered in this section include your first language, military service, foster care, Education Opportunity program (EOP), family size, and family income. Make sure you review everything before moving on to the next step.
