There are a lot of differences between all the colleges that belong to the University of California system so be very careful when filling out the Campuses & Majors section of the UC Application. Some schools, like UC Berkeley, are on a semester system while many others are on a quarter system. UCLA and UC Santa Cruz let you choose up to two undeclared majors while UC Berkeley only lets you choose one. Also, some majors, like the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, aren’t allowed to be chosen as a major for incoming freshmen. UC San Diego is also unique because it has six different colleges; each college has different requirements so make sure you research each one. UC Santa Barbara’s College of Creative Studies also has special requirements including an additional application. Once you enter in all the campuses and majors that you want to apply to, review them to make sure you haven’t left anything out before moving on to the next step.
