When you visit a college, make sure that you arrive prepared with a list of questions about the college that are important to you. There a three different areas that you should consider when visiting a college: academics, social life, and career opportunities. For academics, it’s important to think about the type of classes that the school offers, the difficulty of the classes, and the relationships between professors and students. For social life, ask them what students do for fun, what it’s like to live in the dorms, and what other activities students engage in on or off campus. For careers, it’s good to consider what kind of advising services they have for students and what the success rate is for employment after students graduate. Keep in mind, however, that the best questions to ask are the ones that matter to you the most.
