When you want to visit a college, it’s good to plan the visit months in advance. You need to plan how you’re going to get there, where you’re going to stay, and which activities you’re going to do while you’re there. It’s also very important to call the school ahead of time so that you can schedule an official tour of the campus and other informational activities that the college offers for prospective students, such as meeting with an admissions officer. Don’t forget to do some research on the college before you get there so that you can ask them questions about things that weren't clear on the website. It’s always best to visit colleges during the school year so that you can sit in on classes and also see what the dining commons, libraries, gyms, and other facilities look like during the semester.
