Before you sit down to start applying to colleges, make sure that you have the following 8 things in front of you: 1. Transcripts 2. Standardized test scores (SAT, ACT, etc.) 3. High school information 4. Your parents’ information 5. A list of all your activities, awards, etc. 6. List of relatives who attended the schools you’re applying to 7. List of places you lived since birth 8. Your social security number. If you have all of this information with you when you start the application process, it will make your job a lot easier because you won’t have to stop the application to search for the information.
