If you get a failing grade during senior year, you’ll want to revise your college list to give yourself more options. Find an approved replacement course. If possible, complete it before your applications are submitted. Draft an explanation of what happened. Talk to your teacher about also providing an explanation. If your applications have already been submitted, you should immediately contact the schools and tell them what happened. Ask them what you can do to make it up and make sure you follow through.
