Follow these four pieces of advice to make sure that you’re choosing the right courses for your sophomore year in high school. Think about your four-year plan for high school and not just your sophomore year. Make sure that all the classes you decide to take will prepare you for the classes that you would like to take in the future. Sophomore year is a really important year in terms of college admissions so you want to make sure that you challenge yourself, but don’t go overboard. You also want to think about standardized tests and which classes you can take that will help you prepare for them. If you feel prepared enough, you may want to consider actually taking a standardized test during your sophomore year. It will make your junior year that much easier.
