About Me
I earned degrees from Concordia University, and I've been teaching high school math and science for 5 years. I currently teach at the University of Chicago Charter, where I'm the math department chair. I was awarded a Golden Apple Award in 2007.
How I Teach
I approach my classes with a sense of humor and try to maintain a laid-back style while still hitting on important concepts.
What’s Included
- 17 episodes
- 3 hours, 52 minutes of video

- Concepts include solving and graphing equations, inequalities, exponents, polynomials, quadratics, and functions.
- Graphing calculator demonstrations.
Advanced math, critical thinking, and laughter are built into Joshuah's course. He explores complex algebraic principles through focused examples and a dry sense of humor. Ciphers, logs, and functions are all fair game. In addition, Joshuah has put together some of his favorite Web sites and materials from his own classroom to illuminate the most important ideas you'll need for your class and for the SAT or ACT. At the end of the course, you'll have a thorough understanding of Algebra II, how it plays a part in our daily lives, and how to approach it on standardized tests.
