I earned degrees at Cal State and Florida Atlantic University and am a National Board Certified Teacher, one of my greatest teaching achievements. The awards I'm most proud of were voted on by students: Most fun, creative, and the biggest kid award.
How I Teach
I aspire as a teacher to ignite a passion for learning that will be lifelong. My classes are creative, experiential, clear, and organized.
Become a better writer through creative activities and practices. In the first part of the course, you'll review writing basics. In the second half, you'll dive into the nitty-gritty of essay types, including compare/contrast, persuasive, and narrative. Charles shares strategies from professional writers and encourages students to keep a writer's journal.
