About Me
I studied history in college, worked as a computer programmer, then earned my credential so I could become a teacher. I currently teach history and coach Ultimate Frisbee and wrestling. My degrees are from Wesleyan University and Cal State-East Bay.
How I Teach
I think classes should be fun much (but not all) of the time. My style is straight to the point and fast-paced.
Don't just learn the facts -- learn to organize them to support your arguments. Each episode takes a point of view from a historical period and demonstrates how you can use evidence to support your claim. Matt's simple, tell-it-like-it-is approach to U.S. history not only will give you the skills to ace that next paper, but also will keep you entertained.
