Are you asking about [Shift+6]?You can't get a little 2 in an exponent position in text format, gotta use the carrot. If, by some oddity, you're looking for it on your calculator, you need to be more specific; brand and model would be helpful..?

the easiest way is ^2, which everyone will know means to the second power.  otherwise, you could go to symbols or create a shortcut on your keyboard
