What are the asymptotes, state the types of discontinuity and any types of symmetry please help!

the function is f(x)= x^(3)/ (x^(2)-1)

 

i got a vertical asymptotes x=1 and x=-1 but i cant get anything else, i thought it was suppose to have a slant asymptote? Please help

Pink -Yes, it does have a vertical asymptote because the numerator is one power higher (3) then the denominator (2).To find the slant asymptote, you must use long division ... divide the denominator into the numerator.  Your answer will be a straight line of the form:y=ax + bHope that helps
