First find the LCD or the lowest common denominator. 16.3/4 x 4 = 12/16. Then you got your problem. 12/16 - 9/16Next you just subtract. Your answer is 3/16!!!!!!\    ]    l      __/    ]    l     ( ___\    ]    l     (      )/    ]    l      ____3/16  XD

Whenever you have a problem where you need to find a difference of two fractions with different denominators, find the least common denominator first. Then multiply the equations accordingly so that their denominators are common, and simplify.LeetCat - You actually said something useful....it's a miracle.

first find LCD, which is 16. multiply 3/4 by 4/4, which will be 12/16. subtract the two numerators. and the answer is 3/16.
