Does it make sense to provide educational advantages for specific races given the look at the shift in race distribution today?  How is this defined and determined?

The best qualified students available for a limited number of educational slots should be accepted regardless of race.  No quotas.  That said, varous groups should be encouraged and recruited, and if need be prepped to meet the high standards of universities, especially where the lower level schools have been historically poor.  These prep programs should be open to all races/ethnicities.  When the students are ready, they can go compete for a slot.  Affirmative action programs treat people as if they were not able to do things on their own, so high minded (better people in their own minds) have to "help" them succeed.  It is the modern day "plantation master" mentality.  You poor people, you'll never make it without my help.  People appreciate hard working peers, not those who are not really qualified, but were given special consideration anyway.  That is why we don't like to see the boss's kids get promoted when they are unqualified.  It is not fair to those who work hard.
