The spring block sliding problem below has not been answered despite what it looks like.

I have the answer.  It's 16 cm.  The k value of the spring is 22 / 0.18 N / m    The friction work turns to thermal energy and prevents the block of reaching the full 18 cm to the right of the rest position.  The intial stored potential energy in the spring 0.5k(0.18)^2 is equal to the final spring potential energy 0.5kx^2 + thermal energy from the friction.  This is a quadratic equation.
