you can factor it out but you could also do completeing the square by dividing each number by 6. So it would be x^2+1/3x+2/3=0. Subtract your c value (2/3) to get x^2+1/3x__=-2/3 Then you take 3x (your b value) and divide by 2 and square it. that is your new c value. Then you see what adds upto your b and multiplies to your c and put a radical on both sides and plus or minus your answer.
