if the object is a marble, and in a 1/4 cut out pie pan.

The weight will cause the marble to move downward. For example, if you are swinging a ball in a circle on a string, then the ball would not be completely parallel to the ground, but rather at a slight angle of depression due to gravity.I am sorry that I cannot provide more information, I am guessing at what you are asking. You would get a more complete answer if you would add a diagram.Hope this helps

Well, it could, but it would be rather little. You can calculate the gravity affecting the marble using this formula:F1= F2= g x m1 x m2/r^2So because you are asking a marble, the marble will be mass 1. Because the earth is the other object, it will be mass 2. So seeing that the marble is rather small in mass, therefore, gravity or the weight of the marble wouldn't really affect its momentum.
