Gradient....do you mean the slope? If gradient does indeed mean slope, all you have to do is plug in the points into the equation y = mx+b and solve for b, which is the y-intercept.-2 = (-1/2)5+b-2 = -2.5+b.5 = bSo, y = -1/2x + 0.5If you use decimals for the slope, then it becomes y = -0.5x+0.5
