You can use Mathematica:ContourPlot[11 x^2 + 5 y^2 == 224, {x, -5, 5}, {y, -8, 8}, AspectRatio -> 1] or an easiest way use: www.wolframalpha.comWolframAlpha

you just put y on the other side of the equal sign and put in x values, solve for y, and those are your coordinate points

5y^2=224-11x^2 y^2=(224-11x^2)/5 solve for y and then pick some x values and find the y. plot the coordinates
