I don't understand how to read topic sentences. The body paragraphs has more than 3 sentences, how do you know what the topic sentences of those paragraphs are?

The topic sentence is the sentence that tells you what the paragraph is going to be about. It is almost always the first sentence in the paragraph, but sometimes it can be the second sentence too.Good luck studying!

if it isn't the first sentence, it will be the one that summarizes the paragraph
