i want to know what is the meaning of second derivative?(slope of slope?) i knew it's the rate of change of the slope of the tangent on the curve so how does the sec. derivative get this rateofchange?

Haytham -Think of it in terms of something you know and understand for example, distance, velocity and acceleration.The first derivative of a distance function with respect to time is velocity.  It is the change in distance with respect to time.The second derivative of the distance function with respect to time is acceleration or the change in velocity with respect to time.Hope that helps
