On graph paper or blank paper draw vertical and horizontal axes.  For the horizontal scale pick a consistent distance, any one will do and mark out points to the right, 1, 2 and 3 to the right of the intersection.  For the vertical scale you need to be able to fit 13 or 14 equal distance marks below the intersection which is the point (0, 0).  Each vertical mark will be worth 1/4 unit so it will take four marks before you label that 1.0.  Now, count down 13 vertical marks, then 1 horizontal mark to the right.  That point is (1, -13/4).  Mark it and circle it.
