If you're just trying to simplify this, just multiply it out:Make sure you're not confusing yourself, so write the equation like this: -3+(-2)(t-2)When you distribute the -2, it becomes:-3-2t+4When you simplify the equation above, it becomes:-2t+1And there you go!

First do -3 - 2 = -5Then you get -5(t-2).  Then distribute the 5 to everything in the parenthesis.  -5t +10  <----  This should be your answer.
