No question is asked, but I guess you would like to simplify this equation into the y = mx +b form so you can find the slope and y intercept. Multiply both terms inside the parenthesis by -3 6x-3y +3 = 4x +8               subtract 6x from both sides -3y +3 = -2x +8                  subtract 3 from both sides -3y = -2x +5                        divide both sides by -3 y = (2/3)x - 5/3 Your slope is 2/3 and your y intercept where x = 0 is -5/3
