bothers me that the triangle is not a real right triangle A² + B² = C²6² + 8² = 12²36 + 64 = 10036 + 64 ≠ 144

Triangle ABC is labeled as a right triangle, therefore its side lengths must satisfy the Pythagorean theorem.  Since the legs of the triangle are 6cm and 8cm, then AB must be 10cm.  Thus, DC = 4.8cm, not 4cm.

in any triangle,any of the 2 sides must be bigger than the third side. It does not mean that you can square the two smaller sides and it must equal to the square of the third side, if it does,then you have a right triangle,if not,you have an obtuse or scalene triangle. :-)

Angela136 what you said is elementary, but in this video the triangle he is passing off is clearly labeled as a (Right Triangle) therefore A² + B² = C
