Compare the effects the expanding western railroads had on native americans and white settlers.

It was beneficial on white settlers because they could expand further out into the west to farm and find land wheras native americans were given less and less land to live on. Native American's were tricked with treaties while the white settlers expanded unto their land ignoring the treaties given and causing havoic on their lives which eventually lead to the French and Indian War. The government posed those treaties, but the settlers themselves ignored them. Native Americans lost land, while settlers themselves claimed those lands for themselves. Also, white settlers spread disease to the Native Americans, killing about 90% of the entire Native American population.I agree with what the previous person said otherwise.....
