Using the Sum, Difference and Cofuntion Identity, how do you solve the problem sin(x+30°)?
The answer is 1/2(sqroot 3sinx + cosx)
Not sure how the book came up with that answer, Thanks!!
sin(x + 30) = sinx cos30 + cosx sin 30 by sum formula.
= sin x (srt3/2) + cos x (1/2) subs values in
= (srt3/2)(sinx) = (1/2)(cosx) assoc prop
= (1/2)(srt3sinx + cosx) factor out 1/2
