given that x-2 is a factor of x^5-32 use long division to find the other factor how do i do that

The answer is x^4 + 2x^3 + 4x^2 + 8x + 16. I do it using synthetic division which is alot easier. But long division is just like regular division but when you mutliply for example to get rid of the x^5 you multiply it by x^4 and subtract it and use multiply the x^4 by the invisible but important 0x^4 not written. Each time you multiply you distribute it to both factors. You have to bring down the answer. The most important part is when you have a difference of exponents that are not consecutive like x^5 and -32 you have to put 0x^4 and 0x^3 and 0x^2 and 0x.
