As a start; n1 = -6  n2 = -2  n3 = 0.. etc.This sequence is neither arithmetic nor geometric.This is because for it to be arithmetic there has to exist a common difference 'd'.n2 minus n1 has to equal n3 minus n2 = d. -2 - (-6) ≠ 0 - (-2)and for it to be geometric, there has to exist a common ratio 'r': n2/n1 has to equal n3/n2(-2) / (-6) ≠ 0 / (-2) which is not correct.

It is neither because there is no consistent arithmetic/geometric increment of growth/decay.
