The organ of corti is involved in detecting sounds, it's the thing that has the sensory receptors "hair cells" that detect vibration (sound) and send nerve signals towards the brain.Semi circular canals have fluid in them w/a flap that detects rotational movement of the head ("dynamic equilibrium), like if you start to fall to one side, etc, so that's definitely involved in balanceProprioceptors are sensory receptors in your body parts(especially joints) that detect stretching, etc so your brain can figure out where your arms, legs, etc are at any moment, so these are very important to coordinationThe utricle and saccule detect changes in linear acceleration ("static equilibrium"), ie moving faster/slower forwards and backwards, or up and down, so they too are involved in balance.As you can see, the only one that's not involved in balance and coordination is the organ of Corti
