if you know your multiplication table by heart it would be easier to find the GCF of two numbers or more numbers. It's the advice of my math teachers

knowing how NON prime numbers break down into prime numbers is of great help. Such as...12 = 2*2*3 and 15 = 5*3 ...etc...I actually have a chart of numbers from 1-625 that are broken down into factors and it helps considerably. Nothing bites more than sitting there trying to factor out 2's and 3's and 5's and...you get the hint.

Find all the prime numbers and factor them out; then divide the non-primes to become prime numbers.  I hope this is the fastest way because otherwise you just have to deal w/ it.  Sorry! I just hope you find the shortest way soon.
